CarPlan GTC310 Gastite Silicone Sealant

CarPlan Multipurpose Silicone Sealant and Adhesive has been formulated to ensure – in use – a permanently flexible seal that will not crack, harden or dry out. Especially suitable for use as a replacement for pre-formed gaskets/joints.

• Cures at room temperature to form a strong, flexible, waterproof seal.
• Resists oil, water & anti-freeze.
• Provides excellent compression when set. Does not shrink
• Withstands temperatures from -60°C to +260°C

Suitable for: Sumps, Axles, Thermostats, Transmission Housings, Gearboxes, Water Pumps, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Assemblies, Valve Covers & Oil Pans.

Directions for Use:
1. Dismantle the parts to be sealed and remove the old gasket material. Ensure that the surfaces are flat & even.
2. Ensure the surfaces are clean, dry and free from oil, grease, rust or dirt.
3. Puncture the seal at top of cartridge. Cut the nozzle at an angle of 45° and screw on to the cartridge. Insert the cartridge into the applicator gun as per illustration.
4. Apply to the target surface pushing the sealant ahead of the cartridge in a uniform bead. Do not handle for at least 30 minutes to allow for a tack-free skin to form. Be careful not to allow the product to get in to the oil ways.
5. Curing time is approx. 24 hours (subject to the temperature of the working environment). Do not use engine until fully cured.

Note: Do not use in direct contact with fuel. Do not apply to surfaces above 40°C. Do not paint over sealant.
